Dive into the art of Chinese Tea — GONG FU CHA workshop
At An Chi, we open our tea space to welcome the founder of YIN CHA as the tea host for this Gong Fu Cha workshop, where traditional Chinese tea culture is experienced within a calm, aesthetic setting.
This experience invites guests to step into the refined world of Chinese tea and discover Gong Fu Cha—the traditional Chinese tea ceremony that emphasizes mindfulness, craftsmanship, and sensory awareness.
Guided by the founder of YIN CHA, participants will explore the cultural philosophy and history of Chinese tea, while learning to recognize the six main categories of Chinese tea. The workshop takes place in An Chi’s tea room and is limited to 8 tea seats, creating a calm, personal, and immersive setting.
Guests will taste five premium Chinese teas, including aged and rare selections, curated by YIN CHA to highlight different origins, processing methods, and flavor profiles.
Throughout the session, the tea host will guide guests through fine tea tasting—focusing on aroma, taste, texture, and aftertaste. All teas are prepared in the traditional Gong Fu Cha style, using classic brewing vessels such as porcelain gaiwan and Yixing teapots, while sharing practical brewing techniques and cultural insights.
To complete the experience, each participant will receive their own Gong Fu Cha set to practice the traditional Chinese tea ceremony during the workshop.
